We are very pleased to announce that Venerable Lama Tsang Tsing will be coming to Kagyu Takten Puntsokling (KTP) in August to bestow Empowerment. Venerable Lama Tsang Tsing is a meditation master in the Shangpa and Karma Kagyu lineages of Tibetan Buddhism and is the spiritual director of KTP. Venerable Lama Tsang Tsing has received these Empowerments from an unbroken lineage of High Lamas and has maintained the lineage with pure, unbroken samaya. An Empowerment introduces us to the Deity and authorizes us to do the practice of that Deity. An Empowerment provides a special blessing that cannot be obtained elsewhere and is a supreme method of purification. We are encouraged to take Empowerment at every available opportunity. This is a precious opportunity and we hope you will attend. One must have received the vow of Refuge to attend an Empowerment.
